Exciting Studio Updates + A Limited-Time 15% Discount on Floral Preservation

I’m so excited to share with you some of our recent updates that are happening in our studio!

Because Valentine’s Day is the day of the LOVE and the biggest wedding day of the entire year, we are offering a 15% discount off any 11 x 14” or larger preservation piece. This discount also applies to color corrections, mats, and museum glass. You will also receive a free ornament during this sale. Don’t miss out, there is up $750 in savings!

Vancuterie likes to be on TV! Spreading the word about floral preservation with every little step we take. We were recently featured, again, on Everyday Northwest where we had the opportunity to highlight our latest updates in the studio. This is our seventh television appearance and feature within the past 12 months. I feel like a national feature is in our cards!

We are pleased to announce that this year we have partnered with the Growing Kindness Project (TGKP). This organization is near and dear to my heart, and I’m so honored to share this opportunity with TGKP community. Our focus during this event will be on basic flower pressing. We will have a full demonstration focusing on in-season flowers and there will be a forum at the end to answer “pressing” questions. Pun was indeed intended.

To provide some context about what TGKP does. They are a 501(c)(3) organization with a worldwide team of backyard gardeners and flower farmers, who are literally growing a solution to loneliness by cultivating flowers and freely sharing them with those who need a little extra kindness—patients in hospitals, residents in nursing homes, neighbors in need and so many more! We will be leading an online flower pressing workshop for them this summer and are excited to spread the news about pressing flowers. Stay tuned for dates about this exciting event. Please make sure to check out their amazing work. Their website is www.growingkindnessproject.org.

We are also hosting a flower pressing workshop with Field & Floral Design on Sunday, May 11, 2025, from 11 – 1 p.m. This will be our second year collaborating with Field & Floral Design, owned and operated by Shawna Rude. Shawna is one of the leading purveyors of high-end dried florals in Washington state. This will be an afternoon of magic and creativity. This fusion is unlike any other workshop that has been offered locally. You will begin your afternoon walking the paths in Shawna’s secret flower garden, selecting flowers that you want to press, and taking in the natural beauty of this flower farm. You will return to Shawna’s farmhouse where the fun really starts to take place. The tables will be adorned with custom made flower presses, appetizers, adult beverages, and mocktails. Perfect for a special day.

Next you will learn about the process of flower pressing utilizing traditional Japanese pressing techniques. This is a very basic flower pressing workshop and is not meant for the individual who wishes to pursue flower pressing as a business. The information you will learn about flower pressing, floral preservation, and specialized harvesting techniques are proprietary information. You will not want to miss out on this event. To register go to our Workshops Page! You can also check out what Shawna is doing with her dried/preserved florals at www.fieldnfloral.com.

These are the only two flower pressing workshops that we will be offering to the public this year. With the recent opening of our Flower Pressing Academy, our focus on training new floral preservation artists will be held in a venue that is specific for that learning.

We do have one more flower pressing update but will be doing a big reveal in a few weeks! There are a few more details to iron out. A few hints. It has everything to do with pressed flowers, flower pressing, flower presser, pressing flowers, and floral preservation. I think you get the drift! It also has something to do with bridal couture. We hope that this has piqued your curiosity. This secret addition that is coming has not only upped our flower preservation game but is also meeting an unmet need within the wedding community.

We have just started working on July designs and hope to have those completed by the end of February. We had such an amazing year in 2024! We received in over 300 bouquets and each piece takes anywhere from 30-50 hours to complete. It’s a long wait, but well worth it. Remember, we fully reconstruct, and color correct your petals. No other floral preservation studio in the United States is currently doing all those techniques in unison. The next time you are on a flower presser’s page, zoom in close and take a gander at their details. Then, do the same for ours. The difference is unprecedented. We believe we are the very best in the flower pressing business! Our pressed flower designs speak for themselves.

Flower pressing for the win!

Daphne & Ben
