It’s one of the most common questions I see, and the answer might surprise you. The better question isn’t, “Is floral preservation affordable?” It’s, “What makes professional floral preservation valuable?”
What is floral preservation?
Floral preservation is the process of transforming fresh flowers into lasting artwork. Professional preservation involves carefully drying, pressing, reconstructing, color correcting, and designing your bouquet into a custom framed piece that can be displayed for decades.
Why does professional floral preservation cost more than people expect?
Most people only see the finished frame. What they don’t see are the dozens of hours spent deconstructing an pressing the flowers, paper changes, press check, reconstructing petals, restoring faded colors, designing the artwork, and completing a custom frame by hand. Professional floral preservation is a very process driven style of art. With each step of the way requiring many hours of work and skill to correctly complete each step. Are you paying for a frame?

You can, but it will not be a professional rendering. Remember you get what you pay for. DIY kits, hobbyists, or artists just beginning their preservation journey may offer lower prices. There is absolutely nothing wrong with choosing an option that fits your budget. However, it’s important to understand that lower pricing reflects a different level of experience, materials, customization, or service.
